Boss #4: Dwarven King

The Dwarven King is the fourth major boss of the game and, like the Fire Lord, has no official name. I have dubbed him Dwarven King because he is found in the Hall of the Dwarven Kings (area 48 on the map) and looks identical in every way other than size to a Corrupted Ice Dwarf.

The Dwarven King is Hard to beat. He is fast and attacks similar to the first boss, the Corruptor, with a move I call the "Food Processor" where he spins with his hammer extended. Also, the floor is covered in ice, which makes quick turns impossible. He loves nothing more than to trap you against a wall and smash you repeatedly with that giant war hammer he carries that is bigger than you. He also releases extemely quick and agile Snow Bugs to attack you and will always release them in pairs. Even so, he still would be relatively easy to beat if it were not for one other factor. See that faint circle around the Dwarven King in the above screenshot? It is a forcefield and grants invincibility. No matter how good you think you are at Swordigo, you cannot defeat an invicible enemy. Luckily for you, you have just unlocked a new spell, Dimension Rift, in map area 59 after fighting your way through the evil dimension to retrieve an ugly statue of an eye. You should use Dimension Rift, for, as the ghost of your master told you, it can make invisible objects appear.

Now that you have warped between dimensions, things become much more red and much more clear. There are two towers with some sort of light at the top that were invisible before. One is in the above screenshot and the other is at the end of the energy beam connected to the Dwarven King. If you jump up and slash the lanterns with your sword, they will go out. When both have been slashed, the Dwarven King will lose his force field of invincibility and be vulnerable to attack. However, he won't stand still and wait for you to kill him, he is still perfectly capable of killing you without his shield. When you have slashed the towers, I reccomend going back to the natural dimension so you will not be under constant assult from Dark Energies.

When you defeat the Dwarven King, you can go to the right to claim the fourth part of the Mageblade: the sharp part of the sword, minus the tip. Now you can assemble the Mageblade.
